My top sunglasses brands:

Maui Jim

Colour of the season:

Clear frame with a blue mirror

My top style tip:

If you're feeling bold, go for sunglasses with a funky pattern like spots or gingham and team with a simple top paired with jeans or a skater dress.

I'm in love with LaFont at the moment. Their glasses have a unique Parisian feel that is very quirky but without a huge price tag (starting from around £141). My current LaFont sunglasses have Liberty of London fabric encased in the plastic and they are fabulous! I've always preferred something a bit different to traditional designer names.

Cat eye shaped frames never go out of style and LaFont do it beautifully (see model: Samba). If you want something really quirky this frame comes with gorgeous hair barrettes which clip on to the sides to elegantly keep your hair away from your face.

You can't go wrong with Ray-Ban and especially the classic Clubmaster. This vintage style, inspired by the 1950s, is bang on trend and looks great on both men and women. I love them because they come in so many awesome colours including lenses with funky mirror tints. Great for those lazy days spent sunbathing in the park.

Maui Jim

In my opinion, Maui Jim sunglasses have the best polarised lenses in the world. They are a dream to look through – the world is so bright and colourful! I love these for kayaking because they block out the glare from the water.

The frames are lightweight which makes them great for every day use - heading to work, walking the dog - and there is something to suit every age and style. They have some lovely fashion-oriented frames but are also great for the sportier wearer as they provide great protection and will stand up to wear and tear.

My favourite pick

Lafont - Samba
