Testimonial

‘The optometrist was very pleasant and answered all my questions and even gave me the confidence to try daily disposable contact lenses.’

Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses
This special material is more oxygen permeable than older contact lens materials, making it healthier for the eyes.  Silicone hydrogel contact lenses are now available as monthly, two-weekly and daily disposables, so we can help you select the best option to fit in with your needs and lifestyle.

Daily Disposable Contact Lenses
This type of lens is worn once, and then thrown away, allowing you to have a fresh lens each time. They provide a simple, trouble free and healthy way of correcting your vision.  They are available in a wide range of powers and designs, and can be worn full time, or just on an occasional-wear basis, making them ideal for holidays, sports and social events.  They are also now available in silicone hydrogel materials.

Extended Wear Contact Lenses
Some silicone hydrogel contact lenses are specially designed to be worn continuously, even when sleeping.  This can be very convenient and great for people who need a flexible wearing schedule.  Your optometrist will discuss with you whether your eyes are suitable for such a lens.

Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses
'RGP's are fitted less often than soft lenses.  They can provide an excellent level of vision and comfort, and for some people they are the best option.  We offer an extensive range of powers, designs and materials allowing us to select the optimum lens for your eyes.

Specialist Lens Designs
For certain eye conditions more specialist designs are required.  These can be RGPs, soft or even a combination of both.  Lenses for keratoconus (a condition affecting the cornea) fall into this category.  A fitting fee will apply for specialist contact lens fitting.
